This is a variation in which there is no space between one cube and the next. It has been folded by ted385 on the origami forum but his camera doesn't work. I decided to draw the crease pattern so that others may fold it to see the final result. I'm not 100% sure that I've got the crease pattern correct here since I haven't folded it myself, but I'm fairly certain this is how it should go.

In this research, we study a method to produce families of origami tessellations from given polyhedral surfaces. The resulting tessellated surfaces generalize the patterns proposed by Ron Resch and allow the construction of an origami tessellation that approximates a given surface.
