Depending on experience, you can carefully through the stitching joining the sleeves or just cut through the knit 2. Overlock around the raw sleeve edge 3. If you want to crop the sweater vest, cut off the rib 4. Cut the jumper shorter and pin the rib at the shorter length 5. Overlock the rib back on & steam 6. Fold in the overlocked edge of the sleeve and pin 7. Blanket stitch around the sleeve to secure the hem around the arm hole This is a pretty quick diy and a great way to upcycle an old jumper (or maybe one that shrunk) to make a cropped sweater vest. I am so excited about my latest project…easy-to-make and inexpensive sweater pumpkins! I have been seeing versions of these in blogland, but a recent trip to the Dollar Store and Goodwill sealed the deal for me…I knew I had to make my own! Here’s all you need…an old sweater, a faux pumpkin and some jute twine…that’s it! If you like, you may also add leaves made from old book pages. The sweater came from Goodwill for about $4.00. It seems that Kitty approves of the color as much as I do…
