Culture is the shared practices, beliefs, and experiences of a group of people (Verywell Mind 2020). The photo demonstrates this through showing a variety of people from different cultural backgrounds. From the clothing they’re wearing to their jewelry as well as their ethnicity all illustrates a cultural group.

Malaysia is a multi-racial, multi-cultural and multi-religious country and our clothing is one of the best examples to portray this. The girl in my painting is a Malaysian girl in grey to represent skin color because Malaysia girls can be light or dark in skin color or she can be of a different race or even mixed race.
