a sign that says jenny corn cook with two tomatoes and a spoon on top of it

I have a new website dedicated solely to my love of cooking. For anyone who loves to cook, has questions, or just wants to learn, that's the place to go. You'll find hundreds of my easy recipes, lots of helpful hints, and best of all I don't allow ads and never do paid endorsements. It's

powdered sugar covered doughnuts on a blue and white plate with strawberry jam

You can fill these with jam, lemon curd, chocolate pudding, or custard (my favorite). It's best to have the egg yolks & oil at room temperature and be sure to aerate your flour before measuring. - Jenny Jones

It's really worth toasting the pecans first and you can do that days in advance. Chopping the pecans makes it easier to cut the bars. I tried using maple syrup but was disappointed with the result. (Corn syrup is not the same as high fructose corn syrup.) - Jenny Jones

a bundt cake covered in sprinkles on a white plate with pink flowers

It doesn't have to be Easter to make this soft and sweet egg bread. If you skip the glaze and sprinkles and use an egg wash before baking, you can toast it. Have all your ingredients at room temperature and ALWAYS AERATE (not sift) YOUR FLOUR BEFORE MEASURING.

These rolls depend on a very hot oven (450° F) for the initial blast of heat. My oven takes 35 minutes to reach 450. The best way to be sure is to use an oven thermometer. Always aerate (not sift) your flour before measuring! - Jenny Jones

freshly baked rolls on a baking sheet ready to go into the oven

If your butter is cold you can cut it into 4 - 5 smaller pieces and add it to the milk. Then microwave them together for about a minute. That will warm the milk and soften the butter just enough. ALWAYS AERATE YOUR FLOUR BEFORE MEASURING - Jenny Jones

some cookies are sitting on a cookie sheet

The secret to good muffins is not to over-mix. The riper the banana, the sweeter, and toast the pecans first - you'll be glad you did. I only make six because they don't stay crunchy for long and the tops are the best part. - Jenny Jones

a stack of pancakes sitting on top of a blue plate

Potato pancakes don’t have to be greasy… or hard to make. My recipe is easy thanks to my food processor but you can always grate the potatoes and onion by hand. The secret is to drain off the potato juice but keep the starch. Serve these Polish Placki Kartoflane with a little light sour cream or do like my mother did and slice up the leftover ones and cook into scrambled eggs for breakfast. - Jenny Jones

the ribs are cooked and ready to be eaten in the oven for dinner or as an appetizer

This is a never-fail recipe and it’s so easy. Rub and cook ribs right away or rub and refrigerate for a few hours. Using a disposable foil pan or a foil-lined pan means no cleanup. These amazing ribs are equally delicious finished in the oven or on the grill. Don’t expect leftovers! - Jenny Jones

No cinnamon? That's right. I prefer it without cinnamon so I can taste the apples but add some if you like. Dice the apples into small pieces (1/4 to 1/2-inch) so they cook completely. (THIS RECIPE ALSO WORKS WITH HALF ALL PURPOSE + HALF WHOLE WHEAT PASTRY FLOUR as originally posted). - Jenny Jones

You’ll probably have to wait for the oven to heat up but that’s okay because the dough can keep resting until you’re ready for it. Use it right away or put it into a greased bowl, cover with plastic (give it room to expand) and keep refrigerated for up to three days before using. - Jenny Jones

NOTE: Since making my video, I increased the cornstarch to 4 teaspoons for a thicker filling. This custard filling can be made well in advance. It's best to have the egg yolks & oil at room temperature and be sure to aerate your flour before measuring. - Jenny Jones

a pizza sitting on top of a wooden cutting board

I was not able to achieve this crispy crust using a regular baking pan, hence the baking stone. Most ovens take at least 1/2 hour (mine even longer) to reach 500° F. If using rosemary, I find that crushed rosemary sticks better than whole slivers.
