FRIENDSHIP QUILT. For life event commemeration, honorarium, e.g., graduation, wedding, baby shower, retirement, birthday, etc. Guests sign their names with permanent fabric marker in the white sashing part of quilt top, before batting & quilting. Some suggest that you have them sign names on cut strips, or send the fabric strip in the invitation and have guest return with RSVP. Then piece the name strips into the quilt. Excellent idea!
