ABC premiered "The Flying Nun" on this date in 1967. Sally Field starred in the sitcom as young novice Sister Bertille who, whenever a wind caught the starched habit worn by her order in San Juan, Puerto Rico, would take flight. Marge Redmond played Sister Jacqueline; Madeleine Sherwood was Mother Superior and Alejandro Rey played playboy Carlos Ramirez, who was a patron of the Convent San Tanco.
