I wanted to challenge myself to create something that has lots of characters within the composition (I think the most I've done prior to this was five) and figured what better way to do that, than by painting thirteen Dwarves and a Hobbit making their escape from Mirkwood in the Barrels out of Bond scene from The Desolation of Smaug.
