Hi yall! This is Sara from OnHouseandHome.com and I'm sharing my favorite DIY project ever; my sons baby crib. This crib is made from pine and poplar and comes in at roughly $200. I used a table saw, drill, kreg jig, and router to build it. It has survived one move and is now housing my second son so I can promise that it is just at strong as it is sylish. Like a best friend, this bed grows up with your child. Starting as a crib for a newborn, this 'sleep System" easily changes into a bed for a toddler, and then into a full bed, serving a child well past adolescence. I will never get a convertible crib and you shouldn’t either. Stick with the traditional baby crib. Convertible cribs are a pain. They require extra parts, that when not in use must be stored. I do not understand why anyone would want a convertible crib!
