Context clues has always been something that I've needed to spiral throughout the entire year with my third graders, so finding fun and engaging activities has been a huge priority. I figure a lot of you are in the same boat so I've decided to share some of my best go-to context clues activities with you.

This is a fun and FREE activity for your elementary students when practice context clues! Students will create an imaginary word and, using only context clues, classmates will have to guess what their word actually means! This freebie includes student directions, activity pages, and a recording sheet for students to record their classmates' words. Your whole class will love practice context clues with this activity.
