Magnificent Chinese two-piece kitchen cabinet featuring a carved lattice open fretwork cupboard case. Made in the Qing style from beautifully grained hardwood. 19th century painted tapered Chinese cabinet. Having elaborate panels with gilt painting and raised moldings. Warm red lacquer adorned with black lacquer and gilt painting. Framing the panels recessed into the molding are remnants of crushed shell used to add texture and highlight the painted panels.
