an image of a red rope tied to a pole

The Knife Lanyard or Diamond knot is a thing of beauty. Whether you’re setting out to hike and go outdoors to explore nature or setting up your favorite tent for camping. A knife lanyard ensures that safety comes first. When laid out flat, and before it is tightened, it resembles a Celtic Knot Symbol. As always, […]

a swiss army knife is tied to a red cord

This is another knot for a simple looking lanyard. When done, you have a short loop on one end and a long loop on the other with the ends of the cord hidden within the knot. I used maroon paracord and added a #1 size Nite Ize S-BINER and attached a Victorinox Sportsman II SAK. I used my copy of 'The Book of Decorative Knots' by Peter Owen as a reference for the doubled knot. *There was a photo tutorial for tying this type lanyard on the old KHWW.net site, but it's gone now and I haven't seen…

two knives are sitting on top of a tree stump

Been some time I've been too busy to get back to this side project, but I recently completed the wrap by adding a topper/bottom turks head to the main long turks head. These top/bottom knots are exactly the ones I showed how to make in my recent tutorial on using a peg board. Now I just gotta get the proper leather to make the hand support strap. any sources you can recommend of rather than craft store?…
