This bunker's access shaft is about twenty feet deep. It's rather photogenic and I ended up taking a load of shots of it but this one appealed to me the most. The ladder, whilst very old and rusty, is still perfectly secure and I felt safe when entering and exiting the place. It's a bit of a squeeze at the topside entrance as there's a big old counterweight dangling down and holding the hatch open.

A climbing wall, a waterslide, a gun range... preparing for nuclear war just got deluxe.
