Autograph quilt blocks

November is family story month, and this quilt's got my family talking. It's a signature quilt with the names of my relatives, a special way to celebrate

Main - looking for signature quilt ideas - I would like to make a quilt for an upcoming family reunion and make a block for each family member to sign and date. Any ideas on a block design would be welcome. Thanks!

Pictures - Memory/Signature Quilt Top - Just about done with this quilt top I'm doing for a coworker's retirement later this month. I'll be adding a border of probably green. It should finish at about 40x45. I'll also add a hanging sleeve so she can hang it if she wants to.

Yesterday, we gave our "Signature quilt" to our retiring President of the Quilt Guild here in Florida. She was overwhelmed by it all. It turned out so pretty once we got the machine quilting done on it. The squares were not all perfect, but, neither are we! The sentiments were written with Pigma pens, and that means it will last forever. What is a signature block? A signature block is a quilt block with a blank area where a signature can be added. Often groups will make signature blocks, join them together to make a quilt to give on a special occasion. It might be when someone is leaving or moving away.
