Animals and plants—or nature in general—have always been a huge inspiration to many artists across the world. But have any of us ever tried to imagine what these subjects would look like when combined? Well, a creative French agency called Les Creatonautes has been quite busy doing just that. This past year they have created a series of digital collages that combine sporting goods, animals, and edible objects all into one, and here’s the result.

Everyone likes a Good Newimal! New animals created as one of the first Photoshop projects the Computer Art class here at Apex HS completes. The objective is to mix the colors, textures and body part shapes as seamlessly as possible. Take a look -->

Illustrator Redmer Hoekstra creates imaginative drawings that delineate bizarre artwork. His detailed illustrations are filled with irony and very strange characters. It is difficult for us to believe that our beloved felines are merciless bird hunters. They do not do it out of cruelty, but because they are responding to their primitive hunter instinct. And it is amazing how efficient they are: they approach the prey in total silence and just in a jump they are already on the poor animal.
