I remember when clacker balls were popular. I just had to have a set. They were fun when you could get them clacking up and down. When they hit your wrist making it black and blue, not so much! I think they were eventually banned as they weren't the safest toy around and sometimes chips of the ball would fly into peoples' eyes. Did I mention how painful they were hitting my wrist? OUCHIES!
