Emma Roberts, Botanical Artist

Emma Roberts (1859-1948) a watercolorist from Minneapolis, founded the Handicraft Guild, and was supervisor of drawing for Minneapolis Public Schools. Her brother, Thomas Sadler Roberts, is considered the "Father of Minnesota Ornithology" and his second wife, Agnes Williams, collaborated with Emma on a series of wildflower paintings. Andersen Horticultural Library has a collection of original wildflower watercolors painted in the Minneapolis area by Emma Roberts.
