Here's a little diagram on how I quilted the circles. I first drew them with a washable marker, tracing around the top of a cookie cutter container (it was handy, and approximately the size I was going for!). Then I quilted using my walking foot. I did my quilting in columns, starting at the top and making a figure 8 type pattern to quilt one side of the circle, then following across to quilt the other side of the circle below, as shown in this diagram.
