They had a long history of one-upsmanship. Nancy couldn't WAIT for Hope to try and top THIS! Unfortunately, Hope was no where to be found and a torrential downpour caused Nancy's horse to list, founder and then slide down her back in an unsightly mess. Fortunately, Earl had preserved her creation on film.
