Queen Elizabeth the Second wearing the famous 'Dagmar Necklace' of pearls. The Dagmar Necklace was given by King Frederick VII of Denmark to Princess Alexandra on her marriage to the Prince of Wales (the future King Edward VII) in 1863. It is set with 118 pearls and 2,000 diamonds. The gold and enamel cross is a replica of the twelfth-century Dagmar Cross.
