Kodak Number 1 c. 1891 Kodak No 1 camera, made by the Eastman Kodak Company in the United States, from 1889 to 1895. The Kodak No 1 was Kodak’s second camera, the first simply called ‘Kodak’. The No 1 was produced from 1889 to 1895 and differs slightly from the original, featuring an easily removable lens board, and an improved sector shutter. The shutter was set by pulling a string and tripped by pressing a button on the side. After exposure, the film was wound to the next frame using a key.
