Carole King (born: February 9, 1942, Manhattan, New York City, NY, USA) is an American singer, songwriter, pianist and musician. In the 1960's she co-wrote with Gerry Goffin more than two dozen chart hits for numerous artists. Her album debut was Writer (1970). Tapestry (1971) became of the most sold albums of all time. Other albums are Music (1971), Rhymes & Reasons (1972), Fantasy (1973), Wrap Around Joy (1974), Really Rosie (1975), Thoroughbred (1976) and Simple Things (1977).
