lackofgoodtaste on Instagram: "NURGLE FILES - Reverse WIP. Maybe some are interested in how this diorama came together. Swipe to see the progress. As you can see the whole diorama was built into an old cigar box that I got from my uncle last year. It started with the dead terminator and how I wanted to light him similarly to what @orc.butt had done. I always loved those red and green glows and I knew I wanted something similar. From there the right side came together pretty quickly. For the left side, I knew that it needed the antagonist in some way. The limitation of the depth of the lid, however, made it difficult to fit an actual character. I only had 1 - 1.5 cm to work with. I tried around with some Nurglings but dismissed it. So I ended up trying to build up some kind of other Nurgl

No lights involved, just monochromatic paint where the portal is the only element in true white. This was a huge amount of fun to put together. I had this image in my head for a long time, of a space marine approaching an epic portal to the warp. In the huge halls of a Space Hulk or in an epic cathedral the Mechanicum has installed a giant gate, jerry-rigged to the power plants of the original structure. A faithful warrior strides toward the gate to discover what the journey holds for him… I love making dioramas in this tiny 8 mm scale! Toni Garcia on Instagram: "Here I leave you the sbs doing the scenic base for Gotrek and Felix vignette: 1. Collect your bits from old sets, 3D files, etc.. and Sketch what you want to do. 2. Mix Green Stuff 30% and Milliput 70% to get a paste that is easy to shape. 3. Use some kind of sculptor vaseline (I used the one from @greenstuffworld ) 4. Spread the putty mixture over the surface and smooth it out with a flat cylinder as best you can. 5.Soak the texture roller ( I used one from @greenstuffworld )you use to prevent it from getting stuck in the putty and move it slowly using pressure to make sure everything is well marked. 6. Extract the areas of putty that do not interest you before it dries and be careful not to deform or touch the rest as it can be easily damaged. 7. Attach,

Perfect for scratch building terrain pieces for wargames or dioramas. Here’s a new technique I’ve experimented with to create a natural stone texture in a relatively fast and easy way. Just hammer some metal sheets into random rectangular shapes and use them to engrave your foam. It’s a bit rough, but a layer of crafting plaster will cover up the flaws no problem.
