In the early ’70s, Mächtig produced the TD 1 telephone hood, which was made of curved Plexiglas. He developed the design further in conjunction with several other objects intended for public squares and sidewalks—Mächtig dubbed them “street equipment”—such as this square in Ljubljana, in which a K67 unit, a Žaba 1, and an EKOS recyclable-waste bin cohabitate. Namba Parks is an office and shopping complex located in Namba-naka Nichome, Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan, the south of Namba Station on Nankai Railway. It consists of a high office building called Parks Tower and a shopping mall with rooftop garden.
This vertical garden in Barcelona, Spain was commissioned to fill the space left by a dilapidated building. Its structured around a series of steel platforms, each with space for planters, built-in benches and fountains. Wouldn't it be loverly!
