The Magic Lamp. Created and handmade by me in a variety of hardwoods and winner at the 2022 A' Design international design awards. Based on the form of the ‘magic’ mushroom— Psilocybe Semilanceata, better known as the Liberty Cap. This fungus is found in meadows throughout Europe, and is renowned for its magical and healing powers. Each lamp is not just functional, but a unique, collectors piece of wood sculpture

Meet the Magic Lamp Recently launched, this original design is based on the form of the ‘magic’ mushroom— Psilocybe Semilanceata. Better known as the Liberty Cap, renowned for its magical powers. The Magic Lamp’s head is 3D printed using a natural corn based biodegradable plastic (PLA). With the light shining through it, the spiraling, concentric lines created by the layering of material in the 3D printing process are highlighted, complementing the natural, unique grain of the wood.
