clement "sir coxsone" dodd, jamaican music pioneer passed last week. he died of a heart attack in kingston, jamaica only four days after the city honored him with a street named after his legendary recording studio, studio one. mr. dodd is celebrated for his contribution to reggae music and for pushing the sound system. he was 72 years old. i had an incredible opportunity to meet mr. dodd in the fall of 2002. it is a memory i will cherish. good night, sir coxsone. thank you for the good vibes.
