Order of Operations & Numerical Expressions Dot Games are a fun and easy way to practice evaluating order of operations problems and writing numerical expressions. Use as a math center in your classroom and keep early finishers learning while having fun with this little to no-prep option!
The Order of Operations game I adapted off Pinterest. My students are going to love it. Every group gets a sentence strip with the same numbers on it. I will then call out a solution and the groups have to use the operations to make the numerical expression true. The first group to place the operations correctly and prove it earns 3 points, the second group gets two points and the third group gets 1 point. Then we will discuss the process on how they figured it out.
