Creating anchor charts was one of my most consuming teacher tasks. I loved using them as instructional tools, but I hated how long it took me to make them - and they were never as cute as I wanted them to be... Well, I finally made the decision to make a digital version of all the anchor charts I used during writing instruction... I have over 130 anchor charts that are ready to be printed and used during writer's workshop...parts of speech, grammar, figurative language - and so much more.
I love teaching my students anything with steps, stages or acronyms. I feel like it helps them internalize the content. This is one of the reasons why I love using the writing process to help my students become stronger writers. I love giving them the process of taking ideas in their head and turning them into published pieces. These anchor charts are such a helpful tool when I am introducing my students to the writing process - and they get referenced a lot during the year as well.
