Blackwork, also known as “poor man’s lace” is an old form of embroidery that is found in many cultures. It typically utilizes tesselating geometric or floral shapes and traditionally was done using black or red silk floss on linen. Modern blackwork makes use of many colors. This pattern was inspired by Celtic and art deco motifs and finishes at 9" x 9".
