Skin Care Tips
A lotion bar is a solid moisturizer. It resembles a bar of soap but is packed with nutrients that can be applied directly to the skin. A lotion bar remains solid at room temperature or below. When applied to the skin, your body temperature causes it to melt slightly which applies a light layer of the moisturizer that is then absorbed.
What is grainy shea butter? What are those little sand-like beads that sometimes form on your wonderfully whipped body butter, homemade lip balm or other butter-rich product? Those grains are parts or molecules of your butter that cooled off faster than the rest. They have separated and have cooled off quickly, while the rest of your product has cooled off at a different temperature. Here's how to get the perfect texture without chemical stabilizers!
Drop 4-5 drops in your hands and apply directly to clean skin. Use as a make-up remover, apply on a cotton swab and wipe off make up from areas desired. Use Apricot oil to treat dandruff and prevent hair loss. Warm the oil and then apply a small amount to damp scalp and in damp hair at the roots. You can also scrunch a small amount of this oil into damp hair to tame frizz and lock in moisture.
Lotion Bars are very convenient and simple to make using all natural ingredients. You can also get creative and add color or shimmer to them to create a nice effect on your skin. Combined with the fact that they are easy to use, you end up with a solid block of pure nutrients you can apply at home or on-the-go to keep your skin happy and healthy.
