Extremely clean, high quality Monarch model featuring 26-1/4" highly figured curly mahogany neck, rim, and resonator. Gold-plated metal hardware, rosewood fingerboard w/ pearl inlay; gold-plated flat-head tonering. Sweet, balanced tone. Includes original hard-case. In fantastic condition, little to no wear present.

This is an interesting and possibly prototypical Bacon banjo. It is an all maple, 17 fret open back with 11-1/2 rim with Silver Bell tonering. There is no markings on the dowel stick with the exception of a stampe "X". The head is ripped and the banjo is dirty but not worn. The peghead shape is somewhat different than the typical Bacons. This would be great for Celtic style or convert to a five string.

This is a pre WWII Gibson tenor banjo with single piece flange and 1/2" thick rim. It is a suitable project for conversion to five string. It has flat hooks and a simple tension hoop but the flange is good and straight and the armrest shows almost no playing wear. The resonator is arched and bound on the bottom edge only.

The Wizard is really a magical banjo with a fine, cherry stained curly maple neck and beveled cherry stained curly maple rim. The ebony fretboard is scooped at the base. It measures 1-5/16" at the nut with a comfortable 25-1/2 scale. The 11" all maple rim is a CUSTOM feature, as the standard model is mahogany. The wedge top delivers a tonal quality and clarity that is both powerful and sweet. It is equipped with a Renaissance head, aged brass hardware, and aged nickel planetary gears. The…

This is a good, older bow tie with four hole archtop tone ring and 5/8" thick rim. The peghead head has been repaired but is sturdy , albeit not as cosmetically nice as we would hope. Mahogany resonator with concentric rings show a large patch of belt buckle wear. All in all, a great playing 50 year old Gibson.

A stunning banjo from the A.C. Fairbanks Company, from the second owner. This is a fine player's, collector piece. The wooden rim is 10-3/4" in diameter and fitted with the fabled electric/Whyte Laydie tonering. It is painted back with white binding on the lower edge. The neck has a husky feel to it and is mahogany with some attractive inlayed pearl. In excellent conditon, some fret wear, cracking on peghead overlay. Superior tone and playability. Newer Harptone case included in the sale.

High quality, British-made banjo ukulele, made for members of the George Formby Society. This is a great player, from the collection of Akira Tsumura and featured on page 272 of his book, 1001 Banjos. It is marked as a No Name in the book, but stamped SPS 35 on the perch pole and "SUPREME" in pearl in the fingerboard. Interesting design with rim and flange as one piece. Pie sectioned, mahogany resonator with ornate marquetry and pearl sidewalls and marine motif pearl inlays in the…

Great for the intermediate player. Featuring a 19 fret walnut neck with inlaid fret position dots/diamonds, this example interestingly reads: "B

This is a stock RB-100 with the thinner, black rim with gold label and single piece flange. The banjo was fitted long ago with an old, no hole flat top tone ring and newer tuners. This is a fine player with a great sound.

Price stamped straight tailpiece, gently used. Patent No. 277,869.

This is a nickel plated tailpiece as found on Gibson Mastertone banjos from the "Golden Era". It is complete with adjusting screw and the hanger bolt. Plating is in overall very good condition, some scratching/chipping is present below "Presto" engraving.

Extremely rare

This is an interesting English made banjo that has lead a life that one would describe as colorful. The fingerboard had all of its frets removed and a formica marble board installed in its place to make it fretless. The tunneled fifth makes it a quick player with a great look. The tone ring is suspended by metal stands that create an archtop ring. Somewhat playable but the neck has a forward bow.

A banjo classic, this is a hand-carved bone tailpiece from the Fairbanks
