There are so many different ways you can protect your kiln shelves from glaze drips, or your pieces bottoms from dirty kiln shelves! I’ve been experimenting with particularly runny glazes, and playing with a variety of different ways to deal with the potential drips. This is one of them. Sgraffito has always intrigued me because you really have to think about the surface of the pot in a different way. It takes planning out your design and thinking about the positive and negative space.
