"Good Night Prayer" by Edgar Jerins | Lincoln, Ne. (NYC since 2003) Known for his unusually large conte pencil/charcoal works of troubled people/tense domestic situations. He used to paint commissioned society portraits in NY/LA, inevitably leaning more toward pleasing a client than himself, therefore they're more academic than his drawings. Like other realist artists, he attended the Realist Painters Protest in front of the Whitney, in Sep 1995.
