London, off the beaten path...Neal's Yard, Covent Garden, London. Neal's Yard is a small alley in Covent Garden between Shorts Gardens and Monmouth Street which opens into a courtyard. It is named after the 17th century developer, Thomas Neale. It now contains several health food cafes and new age retailers that are all painted in a variety of colors.
Trafalgar Square, London, December 2010. M25 was deserted as we drove 7 hours, across country for a week in Boulogne. 5 months pregnant and desperate for a holiday, wasn't gonna let a little snow put me off. My medicine had frozen in the car it was so cold. It was a bit hairy but we made good time and had a lovely holiday.
