Fragility is a very solid and sturdy creature, but her feelings are well… fragile, and easily hurt. Fragility can’t take a compliment. Even the most well-intentioned compliments seem to hurt her feelings. Then a bully enters the picture. This book makes a good mentor text for teaching vocabulary to young readers. Investigating Our Names
Idea for introducing math terms. this is from a K classroom but I use it in a grade 3 classroom and use as an anchor through the unit. I also make individual sheets for students to complete to add to their math notebooks - just replace the word we with I and our with our with this.
