Rock candy - start with 4 cups water with 4 cups sugar. bring to slow boil. keep adding sugar until you've add a total of 10 cups. while cooling roll wet skewers in sugar and let them dry completely. carefully pour sugar mixture into small glass jars. you can add coloring and flavoring to each jar - dangle skewers in glass jar (only 2 per jar) with a clothes pin. (do not let them touch sides or bottom of jar. Let sit undisturbed in a warm sunny location for about a week.
