"A VISIBLE EXPRESSION OF GOD" "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us whether prophecy let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;" [Romans 12:6] We can make a difference in the world by being honest with ourselves. We can share the divine love of God in the work we do in what we write the way we greet others and in our caring and compassion towards others. The ways we respond to the world around us reflects our own way of showing how Christ would handle things. We should be nourishing our spirit daily through reading and studying God's Word. Sometimes it helps me to write in my journal so I can quickly access what I have read and what I may have thought about a particular scripture. As we connect with God we know we are blessed with new ways of doing things and discerning positive solutions. Using these gifts enable us to better the world around us.
There are many promises and examples of physical protection in the Word of God both the Old Testament and New Testament. God promised protection to the Israelites against the nations who would come against them as they entered the Promised Land. 'I will send my fear before thee and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee. [Exodus 23:27]. Although God has the ability to deliver us out of every physical calamity or trouble it may not be His will to do so. Sometimes He uses these trials to purify and strengthen us. At these times we should count it pure joy because by allowing such trials God tests our faith to develop more faith so that we persevere and grow to maturity and Christ-likeness [James 1:2-3]. Protecting us from such trials would not be beneficial to us.
